took the opportunity on my first proper day off work since Christmas to get down to Godney for a few hours fishing.
First off nipped in to see Shane at the VB factory it was busy so i never hung round long.
all trying to look busy.
then off down to the lake, i had intended to do a bit of noddying on the match lake and set up in the peg behind Causeway. after about an hour i had not had a touch and Steve turned up, we had a good chat and he showed the great work the guys had done on the work party's. the place is looking so much better.
when Steve was there he saw a fish lump out in front of Patio, so i decided enough was enough and stuck my one and only carp rod in there. Not long after Steve left i had a small common of no more than 2-3 lb's
followed shortly after by the Pug at 22lb 8oz, Sorry for the picture but i was on my own and did not have my self take kit with me.
and finall;y about an hour later i had a beautiful Linear at 18lb 10 oz. Not sure if this is a named one but maybe someone can identify it. the fish was quite pale
anyway i had a great day shame about the photos but my first real Godney fish lol.
