Are there any plans erect and otter proof fence around the site? I haven't been to the fishery since September, so it's possible that one has been put up since then and I'm asking a pointless question!

Hi Bluepanido. Fencing of the lakes is an on-going discussion. When the lakes are closed for the carp spawning, there will be a couple of days of work parties where we'll start cutting down some trees to give us a clear way for fencing. The big problem is the far/north bank of the match lake, i.e. opposite the causeway, because that woodland is not owned by Peggy, the site owner. Shane has a couple of ideas, but we'll leave it at that for the moment. p.s. there are some other jobs for the work parties too!!!!

okay mate. I would be a terrible shame to lose some of those beautiful fish to otters. We've lost some good 'uns over the years on the syndicate I'm on.
